About Me
I am a recent graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Media, concentrating in Public Relations and Advertising, and a certificate in Health Communication and Marketing. I am from Taylorsville, North Carolina, where I graduated from Alexander Early College with my Associate’s of Science and high school diploma. My professional goal is to leverage my communication expertise to make a positive impact in the healthcare sector. I believe that effective communication is crucial in navigating the complexities of the healthcare industry, from raising awareness about health issues to promoting healthcare innovations.

My Journey
I’ve always been interested in healthcare and thought I wanted to work in patient care when I was younger. As I grew older, I realized my true interests lie elsewhere. When I discovered UNC’s advertising and public relations program, I knew it was the perfect fit because it combined my love for writing, art and staying informed. I was so excited when I heard about the new health communication and marketing certificate during the second semester of my freshman year and knew that it was something I needed to pursue. Outside of work and school, some of my hobbies are going to the gym, baking, exploring museums, creating art and spending time with my friends and family.
